Prom Look?!

Hi guys! So I know I haven't been adding anything, I haven't wrote up a post in the absolute longest time!

I thought it would be a great time to write up a post on a prom look! I have my prom next week so I thought I could practice my prom look and write up a post on a prom look, specifically mine!

So be expecting a prom look within the next 24 hours!

Thanks so much guys! :)

Sephora & Ulta Haul!

Hey guys! Today I'm here to tell you about what I have purchased from Sephora and Ulta using birthday money/gift cards! As girl on a budget, places like these are definitely not the first place I shop, but I just turned sixteen, so I wanted to treat myself with some higher end stuff! I hope you enjoy the post!

The Sephora Order
  • Smashbox Iconic Photo Finish Foundation Primer (mini)- $10 The only quarrel I have with this product is that I don't think it is worth the price. My face does look airbrushed in certain areas, but concealer still does settle in my under eye creases and around my nostrils. I'll make another post about this product and include pictures.
  • Too Faced Candy Bar Pop-Out Makeup Palette- $25 I am in LOVE with this product! Snag it while you can! I got it on sale for $15 and you get a free iPhone 5 Too Faced Chocolate bar phone case with it! This is a great travel product as it comes with 11 eyeshadows, one blush, and one bronzer. (total steal!)
  • Sephora Ribbon Hair Ties- $1 These bad boys were on sale for $1, so I got 5! They're great, although they claim to not crease straight hair, once they are old and get rolled up, they do. :(
  • Happy Birthday Beautiful Birthday Gift- Free These products were sent to me for free because of my birthday and they are mini (very, very mini) versions of the Makeup Forever Rouge Artist Natural N9 Lipstick and the Smoky Extravagant Mascara. I did get them each for free so I shouldn't be complaining, but they are so tiny! And I'm not that crazy about the lipstick, haven't tried the mascara.
The Ulta Order

  • Benefit Cheek Me Out!- $13 This product is actually a duo and they are mini versions of Benefit's High Beam and Posie Tint. They're both great and the value is great at $13. I will do a more in-depth review of these products, specifically this duo package thing because it is well worth the $13!
  • Too Faced Twice the Sex Mascara Set- $23 OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS MASCARA. This set included Too Faced's Better Than Sex mascara and a mini version of it for the same price of one tube. I couldn't find this offer on Sephora's website so I don't know if it's just an Ulta deal. (In-depth review on the way!)
  • Stella Mare Sugared Vanilla 5 oz. Soy Candle- $9.99 I got product on sale for around $5 I believe and I am absolutely in love with it. The candle is hot pink and matches perfectly with my room, and all of the other candles in my room are vanilla scented. The candle just fit perfectly in my life. If you're like me and vanilla is your favorite scent and pink is the color of practically everything in your room, GET THIS CANDLE. From what I see, it is limited edition! I'm totally going to buy more and stock up!
  • St. Ives Apricot Srub- $4.49 I got this product on sale for around $2 or $3. This is a repurchase. This is also the only exfoliant I've ever owned due to the fact that the price is right, it gets the job done, and its easily accessible. I've seen this product everywhere, and you can probably get this same product at Walmart or Target a bit cheaper.
  • Maybelline The Rocket Waterproof Mascara- $7.49 One of my favorite beauty vloggers, Leighannsays, mentioned how she has stick straight eyelashes (as do I), and to get them to hold a curl she uses this product. What she does is, before she applies any makeup, she curls her lashes and applies a coat waterproof mascara, specifically this one, and then applies the rest of her makeup and a couple of more coats of mascara. I thought it was worth a go considering the product is less than $10. Although, I did feel a bit stupid because I spent $23 on the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara, but hey, a beauty blogger can never have too much mascara.
Those were all the products I gifted myself on this fine birthday of mine. Both of the orders were placed on July 31st and arrived August 6th, so that was about 4 days of processing and shipping. I had no problems tracking the packages and the Ulta order actually came with a return label! That's really it guys! I hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I enjoyed writing it!

XOXO

Fresh Start

Hey guys, Stephanie here!

I thought I would start out by saying that I deleted all the old posts on this blog and I really just want a fresh start. I really want to start making changes in my life and having been thinking about blogging a lot more as a creative outlet. I think so I can stick to blogging, I'll try to put up 2-3 posts a week. School is about to start soon for me and I don't want this to get too overwhelming, especially when I'll be trying to settle into my Junior year with as little turbulence as possible. I think I'll possibly kick off the blog with a DIY project or maybe a couple of reviews, just to get back into the swing of things. I'll definitely be hauling and doing first impressions as well- I should be having a Sephora order and Ulta order coming in sometime this week, so that will give me a lot of stuff to work with for a couple of posts!

Before I go back to school I also want to come up with a list of post ideas that I could write about when I'm truly drawing a blank and I want to write, but I have no idea what to say. Tomorrow I think I write a review and mini tutorial on the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream! Thanks so much for reading, guys. I hope you have a great night (or day, depending on when you read this)!

XOXO
Stephanie
